1963 in New York City was the birthplace of fashion designer Marc Jacobs. After winning countless awards and accolades from his alma mater, Parsons School of Design and the CFDA, Jacobs has had a career spanning over 15 years. Starting his own label in 1994 then spawning a diffusion line with a lower price point and younger aesthetic, Jacobs was then appointed creative director of infamous brand, Louis Vuitton in 1997. He has truly become a commercial success with both interesting eclectic advertising and clothes that can be edgy, elegant, and retro all at the same time.
