Martha Lange opened a "Fine Lingerie" shop in Munich in 1916 starting the history of Rena Lange. By 1953, her nephew, Peter Gunthert was in charge of the company and expanded both the lingerie collection and started making gowns and suits from his client's requests. 1982 launched their first prt-a-porter collection on the European catwalks and when Daniel, Peter's son took over as CEO in 1996, the luxury brand's traditional style and sophistication was strengthened by his modernization.
