Buddha Mama is a handmade fine jewelry line inspired by Buddhism and Eastern traditions. The collection is rooted in the philosophy of contribution and all started at the kitchen table. Looking for a way to raise funds for her local Buddhist center, Nancy Badia began stringing beads and selling bracelets in order to contribute her profits from their sale.
Several years and fine jewelry collections later, Buddha Mama has evolved into a fully expressed and unique fine jewelry line that is carried by boutique, traditional and independent stores across the country as well as internationally, with pieces in each fine jewelry collection that speak to every woman. With one of her daughters by her side, jewelry designer, Dakota Badia, the designs continue to expand and seem endless.
In true Buddha Mama fashion, Dakota’s childhood friend, Leyla, joined the team to help run the company and solidify the power of three! Today, Buddha Mama continues to donate proceeds from sales to Tibet House and Kristi House.
