designer

Beginning as a civil engineer in New York City and eventually changing over to her true love, jewelry design, Miriam Salat created her first hand-crafted collection in 1993. Launching her eponymous brand in 2012, the collection was built of resin, sterling silver and 18kt gold vermeil pieces. Salat’s inspiration comes from her travels and cultural influences and looks to style women in colorful and trendy jewelry that expresses their sensibilities as they embrace life to the fullest. These experiences create the adventurous and free spirited bon-vivant she classifies as the gypset (gypsy + jetsetter).
